As is to be expected, not everyone feels comfortable with the new nanomachine technology, and there are many who are violently opposed to it, claiming it to be unnatural and degrading, making pokemon into nothing more than fighting tools and slaves rather than partners.
The Pokemon Freedom Rights Movement is a group of determined pokemon activists who's goal is the protection of natural pokemon habitat, to discontinue pokemon nanomachine technology and a return to a simpler, more natural way of life. Not recognized by the government as a legal faction due to their often violent acts of protest and sabotage, the PFRM dress in a green camo uniform and wear pokemon masks over their faces, both to hide their identity during missions and to emphasize their connection with the wild.
Members of the movement capture and train their pokemon the old-fashioned way, and refuse to use nanomachines and other pokemon-enhancing products, having to make up for the lack of nanomachine benefits with their strong bonds with their pokemon.
